i like the portraits. when were these taken?
earthsea wrote on Aug 25, '07
Hi,
Thanks for the visit. If I remember correctly, these were taken between 2000 and 2005. The dancers and the woodcarver were taken in then Bobleh Taku at Asin road. The warrior was done in Barlig while the maiden was shot at home.

hello po, pwede po ba malaman ano aperture at shutter speed nito? thanks po.
earthsea wrote on Nov 17, '08
Hello,
Thanks for the visit. Ang sigurado ko f8.0 ang ginamit kong aperture para dito. As for the shutter speed, hindi ko na matandaan pero gumamit ako ng handheld meter para makuha ang exposure combination. So whatever was the shutter speed suggested by the meter for an aperture of F8.0, yun ang ginamit ko. The film I was using had an ISO speed of 400. Hope this helps.

Thank you po. estudyante po kasi kami ni sir javier. my late father was also the chief photographer of mod and women's today. so it's unfortunate for me that we did not have a lot of "lecturing" together, cos he died last may 30 only. Thank you sir. God bless.

Sorry to hear about your father. But I'm sure you'll learn fast because you have your father's photographic genes within you. You are lucky to have a very capable teacher, he is really a master of the craft. Say hello to Jay for me.

Hello Langfia,
Please do. Jef deserves to be honored. I believe he's still nowhere near his highest potential. I wish you and your family well.

another protrait of Efren...
Sorry for the very late reply. This frame is one of my favorite monochrome image. So, it turns out his name is Efren. Please say hi to him for me. If I remember correctly, he is a very quiet fellow.

I will sir. Efren is now one of the most sought after flower arrangers in Baguio. By the way, how is Jason po? We were classmates at SLU :)
